07. August 2015
In the latest issue of Berlin Valley News, etventure was featured in 3 separate articles. “Revolutionizing the steel market” summarizes the collaboration between etventure and steel-giant Klöckner, an event retrospection highlights the last EuropeanPioneers DemoDay and the recent inductee Mirko Ahrens, Custom Development Officer for the Market research and analytics provider POSpulse, was mentioned in career section.
Here Berlin Valley News reports on the digital transformation steel giant Klöckner is currently undergoing: Supported by etventure business Ignition Managing Director Alexander Franke, Klöckner was able to construct a digital platform, allowing orders to be processed much quicker than the formerly used Fax or Telephone as BVN reported. In comparison to tedious analysis and specifications, today’s motto is “Fail fast, fail cheap”, with minimum viable products and design thinking workshops.
12 startups from the first batch of EU-Accelerators EuropeanPioneers presented their milestones and achievements to over 300 international guests, ranging from investors, representatives of the European commission to further guests from the startup scene. At the end of this batch, all participating startups were able to present remarkable achievements. Livecoding.tv, that allows coders to live-stream their work to the Internet, has been accepted into the Y-Combinator accelerator program in Silicon Valley. Other startups included TobyRich, Konnektid, GameGenetics, Smartdrive and Usheru. The second batch starts August 11, 2015. The etventure managed consortium EuropeanPioneers is part of the EU lead Future-Internet-Program, which hands out a total of $80million to innovative startups.
“Retail and consumer industry expert for POSpulse”
POSpulse, founded under the umbrella of etventure wins over Mirko Ahrens (44) as Custom Development Officer and thus once again strengthened their competence in the retail and distribution industry. Previously Ahrens was Head Of Sales in the manufacturing and retail company EDEKA MiHa, where he focused on the management and development of the sales and fields office and the acquisition of new customers. From his previous experience, Ahrens, therefore, knows the importance of POS activity-tracking and Shopper-Insights.
“We are happy that we have won Mirko Ahrens, a very experienced Industry expert, as Chief Customer Development Officer. He knows the internal processes and decision paths. I am convinced, that with his long-standing experience and network in the food industry he will be able to significantly contribute to adapting our system to the markets challenges” – Dominic Blank, founder and managing director of POSpulse
