By establishing the innovation unit “kloeckner.i”, the international steel trader Klöckner together with etventure was able to digitize its contract management and further develop it into a digital marketplace for the steel market. The digital solutions developed by kloeckner.i are used holistically in the core organization and are already generating sales in the billions today. By 2022, Klöckner intends to generate 60 percent of all sales via online transactions.
